The Xiaomi Mi A1 first sale in India for the first time over at 12pm IST via online and offline channels. The first Android One phone by Xiaomi, the Mi A1 will be available to purchase via Flipkart and Mi.com online, as well as the company’s Mi Home offline stores. Other large-format stores where the Mi A1 (Specifications ) will be available include Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, LOT, UniverCell, E-Zone, Croma, and Vijay Sales, as well as Mi Preferred Partner stores. The Android One smartphone was launched at an event in New Delhi last week, and is a variant of the Mi 5X, and retains most of its specifications including a dual rear camera setup.
Mi A1 price in India, launch offers
The Mi A1 price in India is Rs. 14,999, and it will come in two colour options – Black and Gold. Launch offers include up to 300GB of additional 4G data from Airtel. The smartphone launched in a single variant in India, featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.
The Mi A1 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display on the front with the 2.5D curved arc glass and the Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor that powers the phone and there’s Adreno 506 GPU for the graphics output.
The bigger mention here is about the Android OS in the device. The Xiaomi Mi A1 has the stock Android interface, which is a big move as a partnership between Google and Xiaomi to replenish the efforts of Android One. The update from Android 7.1 Nougat to Android Oreo will be available within 2017 on this phone. Along with that, it will be first in line to get the Android P update in 2018.
A dual-lens rear camera setup is there on the phone, with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. While the wide-angle lens has a F/2.2 aperture, the telephoto lens that offers 2X zoom comes with the F/2.6 aperture. The cameras are comes up with the phase detection autofocus and Dual LED flash.
