September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day around the country, andGoogle is paying tribute to this special day by dedicating an animated Google doodle on its homepage. While the Google logo has transformed into students and teachers, a virtual behind the logo highlights different subjects that are being taught.
In the animation, the ‘G’ in the center of the word Google is transformed into a teacher while the other alphabets look at the board. In the background, you have a slideshow that plays different subjects such as maths, music, geography, science, environmental studies to name a few.
In India, September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s day in the honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Apart from being the first Vice President of India and the second President of India he was also a statesman, teacher, and a philosopher. When he became the President of India, some of his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday on September 5, to which he replied saying it would be a privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers’ Day.
